Today we introduce you to the creator of our fabulous website, Daniel. A man of many talents including creating self-driving couches, he is incredibly eager to learn, quick to pick up on new concepts and really wants to use his passion for tech to make a difference.

Meet Dan
I'm in my second last year at UNSW doing an engineering/computer science degree. In my spare time, I like to go to the beach, garden and make robots!

I have been working as a software developer with MoneyLoop since May this year. My main task has been redesigning the main website. Josh and Carey are eager for me to learn about the business and market as well, so I've been participating in as many relevant meetings as I can.

Why MoneyLoop
MoneyLoop is a valuable service because it provides consumers a safety net when they don't have one. I can understand the financial hurdles you have to go through during an emergency. MoneyLoop's mission to make this easier for people was the reason I joined the team!

Robotics and future tech
My friends and I are building a self-driving couch. We hope that one day, you will be able to call the couch from your phone, it drives to you and then goes to where you need to go!

Five things you read
I've been reading articles from AFR (Australian Financial Review) recently, as I've been finding it interesting. Also, I like to keep up to date on cybersecurity news - Schneier on Security and Kerbs on Security are great blogs anyone can read! Besides that, I'm currently reading 'The Cuckoo's Nest', a story about Russian spy espionage. Finally, my favourite book is Slaughterhouse Five, by Kurt Vonnegut, I think that everyone should read it.

Your contribution to the world

Provide the world with a service that makes people's lives better, not more stressful or worse.
